Dayl found a vidder at YouTube that had stolen a crapload of clips from me. Which. HELLO. It's me. It's kind of GLARINGLY OBVIOUS when you steal a clip from me. Not to brag, but that color on those EXACT CLIPS (Which are often cropped in addition) it's pretty hard not to see that they're mine.

I think they had like 5 or 6 vids with clips from all my vids in them. Not just clips, but like entire sequences. ANNOYING.

So I think Dayln commented on all of their vids like, "I liked the clip choice when they were used by SUPERKC!" And other stuff like that. I made a playlist called "immitation is the sincerest form of flattery" and favorited all of the theiving videos. The sad part is that after the person got our comments and noticed the playlist, they took all of the videos down. But not only that, they took down OVER TWENTY OTHER VIDEOS!

I think they had like 105 or so videos on their profile BEFORE. And by the time they were done, they only had like 75 or 85 videos.

That's a lot of cliptheft people!

I mean really, if you're going to go to ALL THAT TROUBLE to put together hundreds of videos with stolen clips, why not just learn to vid on your own??!??! Ugh.

ETA: not only is she lame...she's retarded. She's favored my vid. it's on page four. How stupid do you have to be to favor a vid and then use it in its entirety without editing it (or even bothering to do anything other than videotape it playing on youtube

), add a title screen, change the song, and call it YOUR video? OMG STUPID PEOPLE SHOULD ALL BE SHOT!

Seriously, WTF?! I'm not even that good a vidder, for Christ's sake and I SURE as sh-t wasn't back then!

Is it considered clip theft when someone puts in their video instead of actual video clips but pictures - artwork that isn't theirs in a video.

I came across this Charlie/Claire vid and their were a few images that just looked familiar to me.
I mean the vid is not all that great (and that's me being polite

) but I don't know if this kind of thing is okay. I never did understand making vids to just all still images etc.

I don't know if people who make this artwork care whether or not it shows up in other's fanvids.
