ok well i am about to ask something, and everyone is going to shun me freom LVI for life , but im gonna ask it anyway because i'm really curious

hides


i see it everywhere, and i have an idea of what it might mean but im not sure

Aw, that's not a stupid question at all, laoe! AU stands for "Alternative (or sometimes Alternate) Universe." It's basically to let you know that something isn't trying to portray a story or events as is true to the show, (called "canon") but is instead a "constructed reality."

For example: a Sun and Jin romance vid is canon since it's derived directly from the show. A Jin and Claire romance vid would be AU, since the vidder would be trying to build a convincing story by their clip choices and use of effects to make you believe that Jin and Claire have a romance going.

Thanks! Same with me, I know I should switch to decaf but I just don't like it as much!

And you're quite welcome! Audio was a totally good guess, since it starts, after all, with "Au!"
