When we've had our beautiful kitten Ana from the shelter for about a month, well-fed, well-kept, well-loved, I thought she was going to stay around until she was a huge fat maine coon cat and we'd keep her around for a long time. I always expected that, until she died recently. Finding it out devastated me. But what was baffling, shocking and even enraging is that I found out my mom was the reason she's dead. Not on accident. I came in on her when she was making a big homemade pizza, to talk about the cat being dead. I wanted her to tell me I was totally mistaken and she was just fine. But guess what kind of meat was in the pizza toppings? It wasn't chicken. I'm not joking here. I was so horrified, baffled and infuriated that I yelled and cussed at her, in front of my old grandparents. I can't remember the looks on their faces when I dropped some very big F bombs, I was so angry and felt so cheated about what my mom did to Ana. Later, though, she decided to compromise and buy the mother as our new pet. We've had her mother around for about a week, and she's okay to have around, but I really miss Ana. I guess if it weren't for us getting another cat related to her, it would have been a lot harder on me. She was a fiesty, intelligent kitten.












Of course, when I woke up just now and realized it was all just a dream and our kitty was still alive, that was a big relief. Don't you hate it when that happens to you?
