You know how usually, when you put one clip next to another clip in Vegas, they touch automatically without any overlapping or gaps? Or when you trim something, speed it up or slow it down, there are automatic frame point that it clicks to when you drag it? Something happened somewhere with my program that changed that. Now none of that is automatic. Everything just slides and slides without any automatic jumping to where you need it. Whenever I put to clips together that say 0 in the middle, I zoom in as far as Vegas can possibly go and there are still many degrees of whether or not they touch, sometimes overlapping by a ridiculously meaningless increment, or a gap, and it appears visible when I render the clip. It's like everything's gone manual for no reason. This can get extrememly tedious and annoying when I'm doing a lot of tight editing.

Has this happened to anyone else? What the heck went wrong? And how do you fix it?

You can make it snap to fit?
Mine never does that, it's always manual.

Me too! I've always done it manually! That software will always puzzle me...

*gasp!* I've figured it out!!

What you do is go to the top and the tab that says Options, and on the menu it says Enable Snapping (F8 is the shortcut). And there's also an option that says Quantize to Frames at the very top. Yeehah!!
