I got mine here:
http://btefnet.net/index.php?show=63
It appears to work to view but I'm trying to convert it using a different codec and it won't convert the file.
Hmm...anyone else having a problem with this?
ETA: NM, I'm retarded. I really need to start thinking before I post. I was telling it to save to a folder that doesn't exist. Yeah. I'll be ok. Really. The ep works/converts/compresses just fine.

Apparently it's supposed to be better quality or something. I have just heard the term for the first time today and its because this shoddy copy is literally all over the place. Everyone's got the bad version. I'm grabbing the repack from btefnet as I type this. I found it seconds before I saw your post at torrentspy as well, but I didn't download it because Roger from Rogersmedia said that he downloaded a repack (though not from torrentspy or btefnet) and it fixed the messed up audio but not the video. The one at torrentspy is the same filesize and name so I'm sure it's the same one I'm getting from btefnet.
Hope this works. Thanks for the link! I wanted to be at least somewhat sure it wasn't going to have the same problem before downloading because torrents take so long for me. |

Has anyone tried to download their ep's from LimeWire. l got the first 11 from there and they downloaded just like that. Well maybe an hour or two per episode but very good quality. All are over 300 MB, some 350 mb. _________________

When I first started downloading I got a lot of them from the Lost episodes community at livejournal. Now I just grab them from the Rogersmedia community the morning after the episodes air because he seems to have them posted by around 8AM and they've always been great quality and it only takes me about 25 minutes to download a full 350+ MB episode from his servers.
This is the first time I've ever had a problem with any of the downloads there and it seems to be a fluke. The original uploader sent in a bad version and now everyone's infected with it.
Anyway, isn't LimeWire like Kazaa in that its chock-full of fun spyware? |

Okay I'm not sure if anyone cares or if this is old news, but at the lost episodes livejournal
Linkage: http://www.livejournal.com/community/lost_eps/
They've got clean versions (HD of AVI and WMV of this episode. I am actually in the middle of the download so I can't support their claims, but it seems to be true.
The repack, like Enchirito said still had video problems throughout the last 15 minutes or so of the episode. So if anyone needed any of those screwed up clips you should go check it out.
ETA: I checked the file and it works perfectly! Woot! They've also got Do No Harm up already as well. I've already snagged that one. |

nope. oh well. I don't mind the artifacting, but it seems like the audio is slightly out of sync on the repack. _________________

Okay, I'm going to stop being lazy and upload this for you people. It might take ten years, but I will get it done!
Dues ex Machina Clean Version! Here we come!
ETA: It's uploading, I'm going to do laundry, hopefully it'll be posted within the next century.
ETA again: Why is it called artifacting? It makes me think of artifacts which makes me think of anthropology class which makes me think of Corwin, my crazy anthropology professor, which makes me giggle. And this thing we call "artifacting" is SO. NOT. FUNNY. It should be called "artifracturing." It's much more appropriate, no? |
