|
|
Ok, i've been having loads of problems with movie maker (the windows one) at the moment - the audio is really... well, distorted (see one of my movies here ... notice the kinda clicking, banging noise? It's not the song, ive checked. It's to do with the movie maker program). It's also been crashing a lot lately, and i'm getting kinda fed up...
I can't get vegas, because i don't want to buy it and they only offer trials over the internet... plus, i find it too complicated to use.
I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could suggest a good movie maker program that is free, easy to use and doesn't pose any problems. I know it's a long shot, and my dream program probably doesnt exist, but it's worth a shot.
Thanks a lot! _________________

I wish that I knew of one that met all those criteria! Believe me, in all my time of struggling with WMM version 1 and 2, I would've done anything to find another free program that was easy to use and didn't crash all the time!
At the risk of pimping my own stuff, I came up with a guide for Windows Movie Maker to try and help it not to crash so much:

I don't know if it'll help you but thought it was worth a mention while you're looking for a different program!
A word about Vegas: It IS a lot more complicated than WMM and the full version is monster expensive. But you can find Sony Vegas Movie Studio for a fraction of the cost (I got mine for $10 after a great rebate ) and it has the same basic editing engine that the full version does, missing just a few features. I've been working with it for a few weeks now and, yes, it's a bit hard to learn, but -- and this is major -- it hasn't crashed once yet. And considering that I once had WMM crash 25 times in 10 minutes (I counted! ), that's meant a lot to me!
Anyway, sorry I don't have the answer that you were hoping for! Good luck! |
