I really enjoyed this one! Very nicely done, especially to be your first vid! *applause*
What I really liked was that it took a different tact than a lot of vids do: showing that the lostaways can have had a positive influence on each other. I love dark angsty vids, too, of course, but it's nice to see the suggestion that maybe these people have been made better by knowing each other, rather than it just being this horrible thing that they've met, you know?
For criticism and such... I think you're definitely on the right track, at least in my opinion. You paid attention to the lyrics and the theme of the song and supported them both with your clip choices. Those are two things that really help "make" a vid for me.
My only real advice for future vids is to keep going in that direction, so that the song and the story you're trying to tell support each other, and then also try to fit your scene changes to the beats of the song (or sometimes the words of the song, however best applies) as much as you possibly can. One thing I try to do is chose transitions and effects that "sound" as much like the music as I can interpret (such as a hard fade out /in to white with a very strong beat). But you were already doing that in this one as well. So I'd say you're in very good shape.
I was actually coming here to ask if you'd mind uploading this to somewhere that it can be downloaded 'cause I'd like to be able to keep it. But I just realized that it's a bit large and that might be a real inconvenience for you to have to upload it again. So if that's the case, then don't worry about it. I'll just keep watching it on YouTube. I just wanted you to know that I did like it that much, to want to be able to keep it.
Great job! |

Thanks for the feedback Aislynn! I'm just figuring out the whole uploading vids thing, but I'll try to get that one uploaded soon and post the new link.
Thanks again and glad you enjoyed it!
