I just thought I'd come here to post something that I figured out about WMM2 tonight when trying to finish editing a vid that I've been hiding in my secret "It-sucks!" vault for several (and several) months.
I have run across this problem before and could never figure out a way to correct it.
Sometimes when I add a clip and put it on "greyscale" the clip will play (and render) for the first second in black and white and then suddenly switch back to color. I tried adding and re-adding greyscale. I've tried removing the clip and then replacing it. I've tried re-editing the clip even. Finally, I have figured out how to fix it.
- Play your vid in preview and then pause it directly in the middle of that clip after it reverts back to its original color.
- First, edit the clip to remove greyscale and hit okay.
- Next, edit the clip again to re-add greyscale.
- The freeze frame in the preview box should reflect this change after you hit okay and the problem is solved.
I have only had this problem with greyscale before, so who knows it might work with the other effects. |

Wow that must be the one and only problem with WMM I've never encountered. _________________

I've had it do that to me when I used the Ease In or Out effect. The effect doesn't start until half-way through the clip and then it does this ugly jerky jump thing! It actually does it twice in "Stockholm Syndrome" and I could never get it to stop. So I faded the clips back into the one before them and managed to hide it a bit that way.
Uh, I HOPEFULLY I hid it, that is! *looks around in paranoia*
Sometimes WMM is the biggest pain in the world, isn't it? I mean, I'm glad that I have it 'cause otherwise I wouldn't have anything at all. But I SWEAR that thing needs some serious time on a therapist's couch because it has ISSUES!
Thanks for the heads-up, KC! I'll try that next time (and you know there'll be a "next time" ) WMM decides to pull that particular neurotic twitch! |

Actually Aislynn, that's why I posted this. It was TOTALLY OBVIOUS in your vid and I was trying to subtley give you a hint.
Haha, I'm totally kidding by the way!
I'm glad I could be of some help! |

Even though I totally knew better, I still had a minor case of heart palpatations there.
Immediately cured by reading:
