This is one of my all-time favorite vids! Not that anybody would notice I'm sort of a Sawyer fan or anything (cough, cough), but what strikes me the most about this vid is how amazingly it uses a lot of the same footage as "Breathless," yet you get completely different feels from them.

I mean, for example, both have the scene of Kate "breaking into" Sawyer's tent to try and steal the case back, then parts of their subsequent struggle. In "Breathless" it comes across as playful and flirty, yet here in "Scandalous" it has a much more threatening feel. Now, that's an excellent job of story-telling, IMO!

The vid clips were right on, too. Sawyer looked as menacing as I've ever seen him (not that I was, like, looking closely at the guy or anything

) and I loved that shot of Kate giving him the once-over. Ah, that lucky girl...

Sorry, I'm drifting off into Fangirl Land here...

Anyway, the beat is utterly catchy, the clips are great, and it told me a story. Nothing more that I can ask for in a vid, now is there?

umm for some reason when I downloaded it and tried to play it. it just played the music with some effect and not the vid so it's messed up for me somehow.

Sounds like a codec problem. I had trouble with that when I first started downloading vids. I could play all of the WMV ones just fine, but anything that was in AVI (like "Scandalous") or DivX or whatever just came in as audio with only a few weird bits of video here and there.

I had to finally go to the DivX site and follow the instructions for downloading the right codecs for my OS. Uhh, anybody else here have the link to the DivX site? I don't want to guess that it's something like "DivX.com" or whatever!

So, I'm this close to actually being helpful, huh?

I'll go looking for the link if nobody else posts it here for you, charlie!

And, of course, I could be completely wrong, but that was exactly what happened to me, so that's what made me think it was the codec.

I do have a DivX codec and the DivX player on my computer--but not the one you're linking to, because I'm running Windows 98 and not 2000 or XP. I still can't see the video though (even though I can listen to the song and it's catchy.)

I'll keep trying to troubleshoot, but does anybody have any ideas?

This video is so high on my list....I simply love it! Its nice to see someone use a song that isn't a slow, moody rock song or something for a change. The timing and the pacing was perfect...and I L O V E the opening!!
