I'm working on my Series Recap video and I have a bunch of clips and audio pieces in my Project Media tab.I noticed today that in the Project Media tab there is a little lightning bolt symbol that says 'Remove All Unused Media from Project'.
Am I correct in assuming that if I click this it won't affect my video and it will only get rid of the stuff not being used on the Audio or Video tracks?

I didn't want to click on it until I knew for sure what would happen.I don't want to mess up the video I have in progress.

Yep, that's what it's supposed to do but if you want to test it out before you try it on your vid, you could open a new project, import a few things in, put a couple of clips from them on the timeline, then click the "Remove All Unused Media" button and see how it handles it.

Or if you don't want to have to bother with all of that, at least be sure to save your project before you click it, then if it should mess anything up, just close without saving over your project and open it again. Everything should be back as you last saved it.

I always try to stick to "better safe than sorry" when it comes to things like this, lol!

Thanks.
I figured this would be a good way to clean up the project media area and make it easier to find my clips.I might use an old video to do a test run with.
