I've started a video to the song "Drops Of Jupiter" however I'm struggling with it's irregular beats. I was womdering if anyone else has vidded this song or has any tips on how to make my video look less freaky. _________________

For quick, mixed beats like that, I've found it pretty effective to use clips with a lot of movement in them. Try to follow the beat as well as you can on the major beats, clip by clip, then use the movement in the clip (like Kate slapping Jack, blowing up her dad's house, Hurley cannonballing, Juliet punching Jack, Sawyer cocking a gun, Claire turning hear head to look at Charlie, stuff like that) to catch the "smaller" beats. Something that also helps when you're vidding a song like this one, which has been used fairly often by other vidders, is to search youtube for existing vids and have a look at how other vidders approached the beat, and what worked (and maybe didn't work) for them. This vid, for example, had some of the sort of beat-use I was trying to describe. |
