Bwahaha. First comment. I don't think you gave yourself enough credit with the YT description: This is well-constructed and flows well; some good shots and cinematography in here despite how short it is. You make the point and get out, which is a good thing to do (something I haven't quite mastered in some things, definitely). Nothing except the ending shot's end (see below) felt abrupt or jerky; things flowed well.
As I said, I think the contrast could be slightly higher (from my view on a laptop), since the coloring looks a bit too redded-out, such as it is. I think the video is stronger without the text for the words (in its current version), since to my ear they're fairly intelligible/low-accented compared to some other quotes you could have picked. And I think the last bit feels a little abrupt--not in seeing Young Sayid, but in the fact that it just clicks-off as an end after that; it'd have been a bit smoother if it had faded. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. I'm with kate, you don't give yourself enough credit on this one Mel! I do agree about the ending, a fade out to credits or just to black that lingers for 1-2 seconds makes a lot of difference. but that's a small crit If someone had told me I'd cry for Sayid in 0:45 seconds I'd laugh, but this made me cry for my poor tortured soldier His dialogue is so heartbreaking it suited the piano of this song so well; beautiful work _________________

That was a gorgeous little vid Mel! I loved the dialog and the music and it was just so haunting and sad. I wish it had lasted longer!!! _________________

Aww, that was so pretty and sad. The dialogue made the video, it went perfectly with those clips and it was so sad. Awesome job. |

@Kat - Aw Kat, thank you SO much! Yeah the ending was kinda abrupt but the clip itself wasn't longer. There was another face close-up of young Sayid but it wasn't as sad. ^^ I'm sorry and happy at the same time that It made you cry. Does that make sense??
@Nikki - Thank you so much Nikki, it really means alot. Sorry for it being so short.
@Allie - Thanks so much Allie, so glad you thought the audio worked well. _________________
