soooooooooooo excited.
i wonder what the title could mean
I presume they go to a lighthouse
haha yea well will it really be so obvious tho
plus if there were a lighthouse on the island it would likely be on the coast, and seen by sayid when he took that boat around the island..but maybe he didnt go completely around
well find out soon
That lighthouse is the same design as the Pharos Lighthouse (aka the lighthouse of Alexandria) so it certainly fits back into the mythological aspect of the temple and everything.
Who do you think Baby!Jack's mom is? Anyone significant?
OMG... Commando!Claire is murderous!!!
I can't wait 'til next week, but what was with the weird commercial for it?

Listing some obvious parallels: Jin's caught in a bear trap, just like he was caught in handcuffs, and Claire seems like the new Danielle: the action-girl, the crazy infection/sickness obsession, and the wanting to find her missing kid. Were Adam and Eve in 'White Rabbit,' too? I guess Jacob was right to say that it always keeps repeating!
However, I don't trust Jacob in this episode with his 'Someone's coming (but I can't tell you who it is); someone bad is coming to the temple (but you can't warn them.)' I don't trust Flocke or Dogen either, though.
A rare compliment for Jack: Kudos for having the smarts to realize he'd 'make a terrible dad.' However, for those of you who still wonder why I don't care for him: His reaction up at the Lighthouse was all "What does he want from me?" instead of "us." I still find him hypocritical, which galls me more than anything else, especially since I think he's written to be 'good.' That's not Matthew Fox's fault; it's the writers', but it still prevents me from liking him as a character. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. I like how the flashWhatevers are how they were in season 1 and 2. How they are tying to the character and the arc they are on.
I think Jacob knew Jack would react that way. But I think the reason why Hurley and Jack were taken away from the temple is because they're more valuable than the rest of the people in the temple.
Claire's reaction to Kate having her baby, interesting that she would rather have believed the others took Aaron.
But I think if Claire was in a 'sane' state of mind she wouldn't have reacted badly to Kate taking Aaron, I am not a mother, but if I had a child, I would rather someone protect him rather than leaving him on an an island, no one could find her. I think Claire has been 'off' since Locke last saw her in season 4.
I thought the best moments were with Jack/David. I honestly don't understand why Jack thinks he'll be a bad dad. I think he'd be a great father, as seen with Aaron. I think Christian and his mother (Her name fails me) were not good parents to Jack. And Jack believed that because he was a failure in his father's eyes, he couldn't be a father also because of his own father.
I felt bad when Jack thought it was a mistake coming to the island.
I thought the ending was great. At first I thought Claire's 'friend' was the fake baby in the carriage. But then I was thinking I bet it's a real person. Interesting that it's MIB. I guess he recruited Claire to his side.
I don't like 'evil' Claire, I miss nice Claire, I find her interesting though, and I think Emilie is doing a great job.
I don't know if it's just me. But I am not buying Terry's portrayal of MIB. He still reminds me of Locke. I know Locke is creepy, but I would imagine the MIB would be creepier or a tad bit different.
I did not like the promo for next week's commercial.
To me Jack would be a great dad. But how is asking about himself being hypocritical? He saw his name, he saw his house, his reaction of being watched for YEARS was understandable. Jacob knew he'd react that way. He needed Jack to see he was here for a reason.
None of the characters are written to be 'good or bad'. They're written as people. Jack is a person who tries to be good, but not all of his actions are the best actions to make. It's obvious that Jack isn't 'good', he's a person who is 'broken'. Jack said it better himself. He's a real person, and there are good people who do bad things, and there are bad people who do good things.

Awesome eppy! Loved seeing more of Claire this week - as crazy as she is and when she said that she would kill Kate if she had been raising Aaron - but through all the interactions with Claire and Jin I kept on getting these flashes of Charlie and Desmond sitting on a beach and him telling Charlie that Claire got rescued -"that the holicopters came and took her away" - that she was safe. It was the reason Charlie even went to that damned Looking Glass. Is those damn holicopters ever going to come?!?!
The Lighthouse stuff was very cool... like how the numbers and the names were incorperated into it. I wonder what pictures would have shown up for the other Losties. But since Jack broke the glass...
And what the hell happened to Claire - I mean we know bits and peices - she was shot once in the leg and they tortured her... but WHY.... why put her through all of this. _________________ Icon made by~http://leucocrystal.livejournal.com/

They didn't torture her. They preformed the same test that they did to Sayid to see if she was worthy. The scar on her arm was the same scar Sayid will have too. She is forgetting parts about what happened to her. Most likely MIB manipulated her into thinking they had Aaron and wanted to kill her. I think he's the reason why she's so 'Gung Ho' about killing the others is MIB.

This was SUCH a good episode.
I trust Jacob completely. But that's probably because, I, for one, see him as God. Jacob shouldn't HAVE to tell everyone exactly what's going on. That's called faith. He can't explain to Jack why he has to be there, he has to find it out himself or he'll never believe or fully understand it. And if whatever the "bad thing" that's coming to the Temple is already there, then no, they shouldn't go back and warn everyone, because that would endanger Jack and Hurley, and I believe Hurley is destined to become the next leader. You know, he's getting instructions from Jacob and following them. He doesn't understand why, but doing it anyway.
I dunno. I just get a good feeling from Jacob.
I was SO PISSED that Jack smashed the lighthouse! But then it turns out it was all Jacob's plan, so it's okay. And, God forbid I admit this, but Jack didn't really bother me that much this ep. And I really think it's because Kate wasn't with him. I really think they bring out the worst in each other. (Sorry, Jaters, I really don't mean to offend you guys. )
And OMG CLAIRE! I'm so glad to see her!!! It's so sad that she thinks FLocke is a good guy. I just feel really bad for her, I mean, it must have been terrible for her, because she was left behind and had absolutely NO idea what happened to her baby. I hope things work out happily for her!!
And ummm, yeah, new favorite team ever? Hurley + Jacob! _________________ icon by becca

I can see why she thinks they tortured her, though. That's definitely what *I* thought watching them "test" Sayid. But yeah, she's definitely being manipulated by FLocke, sadly. _________________ icon by becca
