I recently got the Sony Vegas 9 Pro version and for some reason, every time I try to render it stays stuck on the 0% mark. Even if it's a tiny part of the video. I tried to change video formats, but so far nothing...

Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

I occasionally get that problem in Vegas Movie Studio 8. I don't know what causes it, as it seems to fix itself (I just cancel and render it again).

However, it is possible that you have a corrupt file on the timeline, or your rendering settings might be giving it trouble. I've heard the new Sony Vegas' (version 9) have lots of issues including rendering problems, so I don't think you're alone.

Have you tried rendering a completely different file to see if it's Sony Vegas itself or something on the timeline? That might help. If you could let me know your rendering settings and also if you let me know what happens when you render something else, I'll see if I can spot anything out of the ordinary

Well i have a similar problem but to me is rendering until 56% and crashes .I noticed that it does that when you render MP4 video file [renders in great quality less time than other formats] and if you have many coloring effects .

It might help if you unistall the programm and install it again or try to render in WMV not more than 640x480 ...

I got 9 on my laptop but havent used it yet, i still like 8. I'm guessing its a problem with a certain format, or ur video card, not compatible or some crap. like ben would say, "video cards john, are a fickle bitch." but i remember when i rendered a 3 min vid in mov format it came out 11GB in size, so iunno.

I use Vegas 9 but not pro and I think when I use too many graphics and to many timelines it goes nuts. I have a Windows Vista so I think it makes it worse. I got 4 gigs installed to help the problem but Vegas still acts like a bitch.

With all the money we spend on this they should be better. I have more problems keeping my program open (It crashes a lot) and rendering.
