How do I get the above picture to match the frame of Kate's? I mean black on bottom and black on top. I cant seem to figure it out.

Use Pan/Crop on the Jack clip and up the top of the lil box that pops up there'll be a drop down menu next to Preset, choose Widescreen TV or Academy Aspect and that'll make the black bars come up on it
