Hey
I'm trying to use the cookie cutter effect on Vegas - at least I think that's the way to do what I need to do, but I think I'm missing something...
I need to paste something on a scene (like a small animated thingy) and it's proving to be more difficult than I thought.
Anyway, if I want to use the cookie cutter to cut a shape, do I have to use the preset shapes or is there a free hand... shape drawing thing?
And if I want to cut a rectangle, can't I change the proportion of the sides? I mean I can see how to shift it around (on the X/Y axes, but Vegas chooses the "type" of rectangle I have to use). Or maybe I should be able to change it but I'm not! I mean the only thing I can think of is to use a lot of cookies one over another to draw the exact shape but it seems a bit troublesome for a simple thing like a rectangle
Hmm I'm not sure I'm making sense |

with the cookie cutter effect you do have to use their presets... if you change the proportions of the clip size it will also change the proportions of the cookie cutter shape... but really if you want to free hand a shape what you need is masking... there's a nice tutorial from this board here

(before I figured out masking I tried using a bunch of little cookie cutters... total pain in the ass ) _________________
