that was really sweet and touching. I felt a lot of emotion come through watching this vid. I liked how you manipulated that scene of Sawyer and Kate on the beach to make it look like he was really looking at Juliet. The only suggestion I have is to cut your clips back a little so they flow better with the music. That is something you'll just learn to do with time.
Great first vid. _________________

Wow, first of all thank you so much for your kind reply. Second: Sorry for that manipulation thing, probably not nice for a kate fan to see how she's just been cut out. glad you liked it anyway. ^^ Thanks for noticing the emotions in this vid. i actually tried to foccus it as much as possible around their feelings for eachother. thats why i wasn't sure of adding AU and the kate arrival scene. :/
Oh and with the clips you are absolutely right. I really need to arrange them more to the beats.
All love, Mel! _________________

Aww, this was so sad, Mel!
I especially loved the middle/towards the end when the music got slow and angsty-sounding and you started showing things go down hill, starting with the O6 arriving and ending with Juliet's death. I also really liked how you cut right to black as soon as she let go of his hand. The end audio was cute too!
I liked this vid, it was really sweet and sad. Very well done for your first one, Mel! I would just work on adding little things in to enhance your vids in the future. Minimize "talky clips" (you didn't have a lot at all, but that's where they're talking and there's no audio and the lyrics don't imply they're supposed to be talking), add a little beat use... once you get adventurous, mix your own coloring effects and see what happens, experiment with textures... your vid was great for a first vid, there wasn't much to crit at all. You can only go up from here.

That was actually one of my favorite scenes, because Kates arrival, through it did throw a bit of a monkey wrench in their relationship...at every turn James was there to tell Juliet that he was with her, he had chosen her. So I think having that scene in there is great!! Plus I already told you what I thought! But again great job! _________________

Wow thank you so much for your reply! I'm glad to hear you noticed that "cut to black thing" I was waiting for someone to reply on that, but you were the first one. Thank you<3 And yes In future i will definately work some more with effects and stuff, it gives videos a..personality. But right now I'm just working with iMovie because I'm not doing so well with Sony Vegas and FinalCut Pro. As soon as I get some experience i will start working with textures, since they don't work in iMovie. Anyway thanks for that very kind reply.<3 I'm happy to hear that you think that its good. ^^

I liked this quite a bit! It's very good, especially for your first vid. I especially liked the beginning where you showed young Sawyer and Juliet, and then how they got to the island. One critique I have is that you might want to use shorter clips so we're not looking at one thing for too long, because that can get boring, but since it was a slower song it wasn't a real big deal. Nice job, can't wait to see vids from you in the future! |

haha; no any medal is a good vid!! You can vote Gold, Silver or Bronze and the average of those votes gets the corresponding medal, or you can vote None, if you just weren't into the vid, and the vid gets nothing so Silver is great! _________________
