Wow.. I just had a totally awesome, totally-my-idea song idea for this contest! jk I can't believe I didn't think of that though, Abs! It'd be great for an ensemble vid! I'm not sure if I'll do it, but I'd love to claim that song for now if I could.

You are awesome Allie. That's why I love ya so much dear!!! I think after 'Hey Jude', Twist & Shout is my 2nd favorite beatles song of all time 
Oh and speaking of Hey Jude, how is it nobody has claimed that yet?? I thought that'd be one of the first to go!!

Heyy there, a few months ago i posted a video to the song "LOST" by Coldplay. However it was sort of a remixed version with Jay-Z. There is actually a whole album that The Beatles & Jay-Z called
"The Grey Album"

I was wondering if it would be against the rules to use one of these songs. They're really good and creatively made songs, much like the coldplay song.
If it will be against the rules i understand but i was just asking for clarification |

I'll double check with the others to be sure, but I'd say no because the rules specifically ask for a Beatles song only. As I said, I'll check with the other CM's and get back to you 
Note to other CM's, cos LVI was down, Sara (Nightdancer342) emailed me directly and asked to claim 'Across The Universe' so I added her to the list

Quick question - I just realized Blackbird isn't a full Beatles song - it's a Lennon/McCartney song. Is that still okay?
Also, how many people need to be considered to be an ensemble video. If I focus on two couples, is that enough? Or should it be more?

Nah, that's fine It's on The White Album, which is a Beatles album, and its on the list in the link we gave So that's fine to use

Checked with the others and we agreed no; it's not technically Beatles its a remix which does fall under the no covers rule; we just after beatles originals for this month

I'm gonna try out this contest so I would like to claim "Strawberry Fields Forever".
Quick question: I won't be around from June 18 to August 18, I'll be a staff member at a camp in up in New England in the US so is it still ok that I do this contest even though I won't be around to see the results? |
