why don't you just allow every format because now i ruined a perfect good picture cuz i had to keep making it smaller?

Because the file size of all different formats would clog up the site which is why it has to be smaller, everyone has to abide by the same rule

wel your banners sure seem bigger any explanation for that huh?

There is no need to be rude. Banners go in signatures on the forum, video pictures go on the main site and need to be a certain size. You can have different sizes in your signature, but a vid pic for the site is at a set size/format. Is the pic you're trying to upload a video pic? If so, it has to be by those restrictions. If it's for your signature; then you can have it pretty much any size, within reason.
