I don't know if someone else has already posted this or not, but I have Spoilerfix bookmarked and check it often, and this popped up recently:

*new 06/12 - Jin is gonna be fine. I suspect that the difference between Michael's and Jin's survival is that Michael was trapped inside the hold, whereas Jin being up on the edge of the deck meant he had a chance to be blown clear of the ship. Emilie de Ravin will be on a holding contract with Lost for season five and returning in season six. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Real, or just Kristin's wishful thinking? I hope he's alive, because Jin is great, and I am really proud of his character and the changes he made on the island. The writers did a really good job with his story. It would be a pity to just let him end that way...

Ideas? Thoughts?

Of course, if he jumped off the boat before it exploded... where could he go?

He's just like Daniel out in the boat between the freighter and the Island when the Island disappeared.

Maybe they'll come up with some funky reason that everybody in the water was taking along for the ride with the Island!

I'd be cool with that!

I don't want to admit to being in denial, but I believe he is still alive, especially because that is the only way I can think of to adequately keep Daniel in the story, which I believe he should be.

I have big dreams about Dan and his merry band of red shirts rescuing Jin from the wreckage, and then going on to chase after Charlotte and whatever she may be up to - something tells me she will need chasing after soon, and who better for the job than dear old Dan?

Not to mention that we need his possible survival as motivation to get Sun/possibly Ji Yeon to the island, and that would just be way too depressing if they go through everything only to find out that he really did die after all.

I think Daniel probably circled back and picked him up...after that I don't really know. Maybe they did all get taken to another location *shrug*

I always assumed that he was alive, never even entertained the thought that he was dead. We never saw him die, and they already made it too obvious that they wanted us to think he was dead, what with the Sun FF's and Sun seeing him "die" etc, so I predict an island reunion near the end of the series. hehe

I want him to be alive. but if the fact that he's alive will kill someone like Claire then I want him to be dead.
I'm starting to think that Claire will be a hugr part of the final season

They've given us way too much notification, lol. "Yes, guys, Jin is totally dead!!!" Uh...no.

He's alive, no doubt about it.

Hehe...I think/hope Claire is going to have a big role in S6 too.
