Lost Video Island

I've been using this program for a little while now, and this is the first time this has happened...

whenever I try to save the video, the music and clips at the very beginning aren't in sync with each other. It's always like 2-3 seconds off, and then everything becomes synced after that.

Is there a way to fix this?

then again, I had used 6.0 before the 8.0, so maybe it's just a setting?

By the way, when I preview the video in SV, it's in sync, but when I watch it after it's saved, it's not in sync.
