Hey, I think it's pretty much the highest compliment you really can pay to a writer: when you just can't resist getting into the story! I mean, after all, isn't that basically what we do when we vid? We're taking "Lost" and making it just a little bit ours. So, it actually says a lot about how much we're enjoying your fic!

Chapter Two

Charlie woke up. He looked around, trying to see Elizabeth. He stood up on his weak legs. What just happened to me? Charlie thought. "Elizabeth!" Charlie turned arund and looked through the trees. He could the giant crater. Now eight were dead.

Charlie couldn't believe what he'd through in the past two days. Aaron kidnapped, part of his ace was set on fire, Claire caught him in the act, he just saw Sayid and Nathan die and to top it off, he didn't feel too good.

"Liz!"
"Charlie?"
"Liz! Where are you?"
"I'm over here!"
"Where's that?" She suddenly fell out from behind the black tree. "I thought you were dead."
"We've got to get back to the caves."
"But where do we go?"
"Um, that way." Charlie had no idea which way they were going.

Sawyer was lying down on the bed they had found in the rubble. Jack and Hurley had helped everyone out of the rubble. Only two were dead. "Dude, this is awful."
"I know."
"Three people died today."
"That we know of. We still don't know where Locke is."

Michael woke up and coughed. "What happened?" Jack came up to him and checked his leg. "Someone set off a bomb."
"Who?"
"We don't know."
"I think I do."
"Are the guys who went out for Walt okay?"
"I don't know they've only been gone for a couple hours. Why?"
"They're trying to stop us from finding him."
"What?"
"You've got to find Sayid and the others. For all we know, they're already dead."

Charlie stumbled along. Ever since he saw that black tree, he felt like he had infected by some strange flu. He reached into his pocket for his stuff.

"Don't do that around me?"
"Do what?"
"Snort or lick or whatever you do with that heroin"
"I can do whatever the hell I want, so shut up."
"That was rude." Charlie stopped and pulled out both of his pockets. He turned arund and looked at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth looked at him confused. "What's wrong?"
"What did you do with it?"
"What?"
"Give me the bloody drugs!" Charlie pushed her up against a tree. "Give me them now."
"I don't--" Charlie covered her mouth. "Just give me them."


This time, please don't write chapter three Nate.

Jungle - Day
Nathan turns around SLOWLY to find THE MONSTER, dark, gigantic, machinelike but biological. His jaws drop as he faces the terror. He freezes, he feels a lump moving up his chest as he tries to get himself move. He takes a step behind into the shadow of the jungle, hoping that IT will not find him in the dark.

Darkness --

Silence – Nathan holds his breath, it doesn’t see him, he thinks.

A beat --

He steps out from the trees, looks around suspiciously hoping the monster is gone. CLEAR!

Slowly, he walks into the light. The bleeding has stopped. He feels the warm breeze of the ocean on his face. Holy shit! That was close.

CUT TO:
Cave – Day

Jack looks worried. Sawyer has been in coma for the past two days. I could’ve done better. Jack tells himself.

Hurley
“Dude, we’ve been here 40 days and we’ve got more dead
bodies than the entire season of CSI. This is not good.”

Jack looks up to Hurley.

Jack
“Three people are dead Hurley.”

Hurley
“Dude, we’ve got to do something. We can’t just let them do this to us.”

Jack
“Where’s Kate? Have you seen her?”

Hurley
“Nah, I think she went with Locke.”

Jack
“What?? Where did they go??”
Hurley
“I…I don’t know.”

I knew it. Locke tricked her. She could be dead for all I know. He tells himself.
Jack gets up, grab his backpack, a bottle of water. Another trek into the jungle – but this time is different. Someone’s going to do something with Locke.

Jack
“Take care of Sawyer, ask Sun if you need anything. She’d know what to do.”

Hurley
“Wait…where’re you going to?”

A beat – Jack looks at Hurley,

Jack
“To take care of things”

Hurley watches as Jack walks off the cave. Dude, this is what the numbers do to you.
I told you guys. The numbers are bad.
