APRIL 2008
Contest: Humor
Deadline: May 4th

The Details:

Have you still not quite gotten over feeling blue about that long hiatus we had between new Lost episodes? Has the shortened season or the mood in season 4 brought your happy down a bit? Or do you just have left-over writer's strike angst? Well then, now is the perfect time to make a funny Lost vid!

There are no particular flaming hoops for you to jump through this time; all we ask is that you make us laugh!

Something to keep in mind: a great humor vid doesn’t just rely on a funny song, but also on originality and the vidder’s ability to take things to a further level. A video that merely uses a funny song with nothing else special to it or one that just showcases a montage of funny moments from the show is much less likely to beat a creative, original idea. So put your imaginations into high gear and show us your funny!

The Rules

Specific Contest Rules:

• - Make a funny Lost vid.
• - Running time should be no longer than 5 minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
• -The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• -When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "April 2008 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.

General Contest Rules:

• -Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• -All regular submissions rules apply.
• -Only one entry per vidder.
• -Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• -Please do not use Megaupload, Rapidshare or Yousendit to host your files.
• -Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available for download at least until the end of the month. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
• -Have fun!

hmmm...I'm not too good with humor...you all know I'm all about the drama...but there is always a first time right? I hope I can think of something, sounds like fun!

Oooohh...! the video I'm working on right now could work! I dunno though... ir's not really funny.. I'm not sure if it is actually.. It is dirty and vaguely gay... not necessarily funny ha ha though... ohhhh -

Ok, someone help - does a sex-filled video to the Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch sounds funny enough?

I have 3 ideas that have been in my head for a long time now, 2 of which ill do probably but im trying to choose between the two.

Ones more of a funny song and the other would be more kind of dark humor like walk like a eqyption was

I have a question: Can I enter my "She's got Issues" vid? If I had known that the April contest theme is humor I would not have submitted it on monday. But it's fine if that's not possible.

Me too. It's an idea had for the February contest but was just too bizarre to be melodramatic. It definitely has funny possibilities, as long as I find the right song to back it up with.
