You'll get 4-5 inches a day, but that's everyday, and with the cold, it won't melt, so it just builds and builds up over the months. We got our first real snowfall right before Halloween. We actually did not have a white Christmas. It poured rain Christmas Eve and the snow was pretty much gone the next day. The past few weeks, we've been getting hammered. There's a snow dune behind the house and it's waist deep. They were calling for a "Noreaster" which is a snow storm that moves in from the atlantic coast, which was looking to hit us directly and drop Feet of snow, but then it turned south, much to my relief.
I've never seen a foot of snow come down in one day, and would never like to see it either. |
Yeah it happened on New Years Eve in 2006 and It didn't stop snowing all day or night and then we woke up and it was just like OMG!? Are we in New Mexico...this can't be right...let me see if I can find a pic.
LOL Okay so here they are ...and the funny thing was we didn't even an own a snow shovel b/c you really don't need it here...and so my husband had to use a regular shovel and it took forever. Then we tried to go buy one and all the hardware stores had sold out! LMAO!
