picafile.net seems to work for me. I believe 60MB is their maximum.

60? Holy guacamole! That's amazing!
Thanks for letting me know about that, MG! 'Cause it's kind of annoying me to have to squash the end of my vid to try and keep it from going over the 10 MB limit. Of course, I probably shouldn't have 30 seconds of credit on a 1:30 vid anyway... So maybe it's a good thing after all...
Seriously, thanks!

Thanks for the compliments, Aislynn! Really, the Shannon part of the story was the main reason I did this vid...
Good luck with your Insanely Complicated Credits! _________________

in case you're wondering our reply on that site. I've been testing it out for the last week or so to make sure it actually hosts the videos for a while. Still not sure HOW long they will stay, but it's longer than Yousendit at least! Expect to see a revision to the Hosting Guide soon! lol |

Finished!
Well, except for needing a few minor tweaks, then I'll need to render it again. But other than that:
FINISHED!!!
Just had to share the momentous moment with y'all...

I'll hopefully finish tweaking it tonight but will have to wait until tomorrow to upload it. Do you know how freakin' long it takes to upload 8 MB through dial-up??? A loooong time, let me tell ya... Gr...
*grumble* My kingdom for high speed Internet... *grumble, grumble*
But hey, glad to hear that somebody else is glad I got this thing done! Thanks!
~Aislynn
PS - Of course, you might change your mind when you see it. It is, officially, the Weirdest Vid I've Ever Done. And that's saying a lot coming from me, huh?
PPS - And yes, I said 8 MB. WMM estimated it would render at 10.1 MB and it ended up at... 4.6 MB. Wow, that was really close, huh? So I made the executive decision to render it at 640 x 400 (or whatever the exact pixel size is), because, for once, I'd like to make a vid that's not postage-stamp sized! Everybody might hate it for that reason, but hey, I just wanted to be able to see my own vid without the use of binoculars for once... |

Well, I hardly needed incentive to enter my vid but hey, that's extremely cool incentive, I have to say! Great idea!
But I have a question about entering. I haven't got my vid uploaded into PutFile yet but I was checking out the LVI submission info so that I'd be sure to have everything I need in place. I noticed that we're supposed to click on a character's name (or ensemble) but... Vincent's name isn't on there. So who do I pick? Ensemble? Or do you leave it blank? Sorry, this is my first attempt at using this new system so I feel completely clueless!
Help?
~Aislynn
Edited to add: I'm out of time to try to upload into PutFile tonight. Hopefully it won't give me any problems tomorrow, then I'll try submitting it to the contest as soon as I have any real idea of how to do it right... Geez, I'm such a dork... Sorry, guys! |

I finished my Vincent vid! But my site is not letting me upload right now. I'll post it whenever my site decides to work again. _________________ Heather |

Stick it in the ol' Ensemble category, Aislynn it won't really matter, since these vids are all goign to be listed on the contest page anyway! |

Does the audio/song part of a video really matter a lot? I found a song I'd like to use, but the recording isn't that great. It has a little too much static, but I can't download it anywhere else. |

Okay, after much PutFile drama, I finally had to try picafile.net. It looks like it uploaded my vid (I would've downloaded it myself just to be sure but was too tired to wait that long; I did however let a little of it come in and at least it was the start of my vid, so that's promising! ). I went through the LVI submission process and everything -- again! -- seemed to go okay. It said that my vid was sent, so I REALLY hope it was!
Whew! This viddergal is tired from all this uploading drama!
