I'm looking for some software that'll scan a video file and break it up into individual scenes, saving each one as a seperate AVI file.
I found some that'll do it based on time, ie you tell it to break the file into 10 second chunks, or based on clip size, but these aren't suitable at all.
Ulead's scene detection is pretty good, but you can't export the clips to individual files (unless you want to go through the manual save process several hundred times per episode).
I can't get the AVS Video Cutter or their Remaker to work on my PC (Win XP SP2, 1GB RAM).
The only one I've found is Handysaw DS which does exactly what I want but at $65 it's pretty expensive for what it is.
Does anyone know of any standalone utility or a suite that offers this functionality ? |
