Okay so I did make a very VERY short vid for this already. Nothing special. Less than a minute and only took about two hours to do. MAJOR spoilers for the pilot episode which airs this monday so if you plan on watching it, I suggest you wait to see this vid until after you've seen the Pilot. BIGTIME.
I've been seeing promo's for this show all week long so I decided to give it a go tonight and watch the premiere and turns out that I really, REALLY liked it! It sorta reminded of the movie Sleepers a bit tho, only these boys were brothers and not friends.
Anyway, yeah I really liked it and I'll definitely be watching this from now on.
So is it on every Monday night after Heroes? _________________

I think that's the plan.
I've seen this show compared to just about every single movie or show involving, organized crime, brothers, or people with accents. (The WIGGLES!) But the truth is that surface level comparisons stop there, at the surface. It fits into a genre, but it seems wholly different despite that. IMO. Except in the case of the Wiggles. It is so exactly like the Wiggles. FRUIT SALAD!!!
Though, I agree that the flashbacks were a bit reminiscent of Sleepers. Sleepers was a great film.
I like that the Jenny/Tommy thing is not gonna be this unspoken angsty thing. That unrequited "do they or don't they?" kind of thing. It's a different and fresh way to approach a relationship on a show. Most shows are addicted to keeping people apart and quiet about their true feelings - because they can't write anything after that that's "not boring."
I wonder if Joey IceCream is gonna narrate the entire series or if the past is gonna eventually catch up with the present.

I just explained the pilot to my cousin on AIM:
Spoiler:
Basically it's about four Irish brothers who grew up in Hell's Kitchen. One of them is a troublemaker, one of them is a compulsive unlucky gambler, one of them is a prettyboy ladies man, and one of them is the smart one who goes to art school.
The unlucky gambler ends up losing a lot of money to an Italian bookie. So the troublemaker kidnaps said bookie for ransom. But the bookie turns out to be the nephew of a bigtime italian crime boss (who is cahoots with the irish crime boss). So the italian crime boss has the prettyboy brother beat up by some goons. So the troublemaking brother kills the bookie in retaliation, and is gonna be killed by the italian crime boss because of it. So the smart brother has to bail them out, by killing both the italian and the irish mob boss. Thereby inheriting the neighborhood.
