I think FLocke generally tells the truth, but twists it to make himself look like the good guy, or to make things work out better for him. Like his thing with Kate. So Aaron has "a crazy mother." Even if you believed she was crazy, which I don't for one second, would anyone really just take her son away from her without seeing how she acted around him? That's what FLocke wants Kate to do and I don't get why....unless it's all just a ploy to get her on his side.
Shockingly, Kate is being smarter than everyone else about FLocke. She doesn't trust him, and I don't think she'll ever "join" him. She's just with him now because she has nowhere else to go.
I agree, Paul. FLocke's relationship with Claire is scary. _________________

Well crazy or not Claire is not herself. She is definitely unstable. I think anyone would think twice about letting her have her son back before she got some therapy or something. I'm not saying she shouldn't get him back but she needs some help first. _________________

Sawyer as a cop was definitely not planned earlier in the season, considering Sawyer let Kate go in "LAX".

I disagree. Back when LA X first aired I had impression he knew exactly what a "341" was. If he's planning on killing someone, whats to stop him letting someone like Kate go? He's not exactly squeeky clean. I think it was planned. |
I heard that Sawyer was going to be a cop in spoilers months ago, before the first episode of s6 aired, so yes, it was definitely planned. xD _________________

I think maybe once Claire remembers who she is she'll be all right. She needs to get away from FLocke, because since last night's ep I'm pretty sure he's a major reason she is the way she is now. I think she needs to get off the island (duh) and maybe see her mom and Aaron again....and Sun needs to give her Charlie's frickin ring that she only found last season.
Speaking of Sun, I'm DYING for a Jun reunion. _________________

I agree, it makes me think of Danielle. She was healed when she was reunited with Alex. But still, Aaron is with Carole. Carole can take care of him while Claire is getting help; I dont think kate needs to be involved at all. And I agree; Flocke is the reason for the way Claire is now; he's the one who lied to her about where the baby was. Perhaps if he had told her out right that Aaron was fine and off the island with kate; she would be alright. Surely part of what made her the way she is now is the fear of what the others were doing to aaron, and that's Flocke's fault for making her think that way.
And yes, the ring needs to be returned and we need a Jun reunion! I thought we'd make some headway this ep; but they just left Jin behind :S _________________

This one line sums up so much that is wrong and easily fixed about the show. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Rofl Well, I do love Kate, but her forced involvement in Claire's character this past couple of seasons infuriates me. I feel like they've run out of things to do for Kate so they just focus on her when it relates to Claire :S Even an ep like this where's Claire's anger should be the focus; Kate's reaction is shown :S _________________

*waves tiny flag of "Aw, now, not everything is Kate's fault and c'mon, was she really supposed to just leave Aaron on the Island with Claire missing? It's not like she hit Claire over the head and yanked him out of her arms whilst sprinting towards the helicopter. Yeah, she admittedly made a mistake in keeping him but she's trying to make that right now. She gave him back to Claire's mom and came to the Island specifically to rescue Claire so to reunite her with Aaron. So why does that make her such a monster that everybody loves to hate on?" *
It's a good thing I can fit a LOT of writing on my tiny flag, huh? |

Agreed, Kat, and I could cite the same with (you knew this was coming) Jack, Sayid, and the poison pill earlier on.
Aislynn: Is your flag like one of those corny prayer-on-a-rhinestone cross necklaces that they sell on the cable channels at this time of night? Because apparently they can fit a lot of words on those things, too. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Oops, crossposted you, Kat!
I totally don't blame you for being frustrated with Claire's just general lack of time, attention and storyline (not to mention complete and utter disappearance for a whole season! ). The writers have definitely let her down in SO many ways! |

Ahem, the technology MAY indeed be quite similar, Kate! |

I have always seen the friendship with Claire/Kate, so I don't see it being forced or out of the blue, to me it's always been there. To me their connection/friendship didn't just happen over night.
I mean Kate has helped out Claire many times through out the years, and they even bonded in season 1. So their friendship to me as been evident since season 1.
I don't think their SUPER DUPER close but Claire wasn't really SUPER close to any of the other females either, mostly she had Charlie.
I think you would have to show Kate's reaction to almost being murdered, it was a give and take scene. I mean if the tables were turned, and Kate was the one who was about to cut Claire's throat I'd want to see her reaction too.

I agree completely with Mystic. The friendship has always been there. From sorting laundry to delivering Aaron in s1 they always had a friendship and scenes together. They weren't insanely close or anything, but I'd say that Claire and Kate were a lot closer than Claire and any other female. _________________

Claire and Sun have always been closer than Claire and Kate, another aspect of the show that's been ignored. Sun was the one caring for Claire with Charlie after Aaron was born, Sun took care of Claire when Aaron was missing, Sun took care of Aaron while Claire was sleeping or off with Charlie, not kate. bar maternity leave and aaron's birth and the white rabbit scenes, kate and claire didn't have a close friendship. I dont see them as any closer friends than claire and jack.
edit - oh and eggtown, which to me is the ep where teh show forced a this strong kate/claire bond that wasn't there :S _________________
