I'm probably the most convoluted here.

I am trained as a physician doing some of my education "Lost" on a tropical island in the Caribbean and some in the United Kingdom and then finished training here in the US. Currently I'm seeking a job in research but have dabbled in carpentry, landscaping, automobile repair, auto body repair, worked for UPS and have done one job in interior design. I've always enjoyed art and drawing so for me this hobby of vidding is the next step in media art. Tada.

I used to want to be a writer. I do love to write, it's one of my favorite hobbies. But I don't feel as though it would be a good career for me because I'm a really sensitive person and fear rejection. I'm also never satisfied with my work. People tell me I'm a good writer but I constantly feel like all my writing is crap. That's how I feel about my drawings as well. So I've decided that perhaps I'm better fit for a career in science. I love animals and nature, so I'm really starting to consider going into the field of zoology. I've never had a job before, but I am currently taking classes at the city zoo so I can volunteer there during the summer. I would like to go to college after I finish high school and major in zoology, maybe even become a herpetologist or an elasmobranchologist.

Ah! Not short and not Jewish, but everything else fits. I LOVE Jewish people though. They are so cute! I think I was Jewish in a past life.

I'm a writer (which explains why I tend to blab on and on, huh? ). Proudest accomplishment so far: probably I'd say having one of my short stories receive more votes in the Preliminary Nebula Awards than one of Stephen King's. Hah, take that Mr. Much More Famous With Lots More Money!

I'm sure he's never truly recovered from the humiliation...

Otherwise, I do data entry and am being completely made useless by two inventions: scanners and the Internet. Now it's fairly common to see job listings for Data Entry/Forklift Driver. Yeah, I trained for the forklift thing right along with learning how to type. Doesn't everybody?

Now, if we're talking hobbies (as in will never make money off of this) then I've got a million of them. Which I will now discuss in detail. Just kidding. I love vidding with a desperate passion. It's just like telling a story, but with Real, Live Moving Video and Music! Best invention since yon olde sliced bread, IMO. The Internet would be worth it for me just for introducing me to vidding, if nothing else!

Other stuff: I just made a Bag-End replica out of yarn and plastic canvas. No, I'm not kidding. It took me a year and is now the proud home to some of my Lord of the Rings action figures. And a few Xena ones, too. There's quite a party going on in there, I've gotta tell ya...

Yes, I'm weird. But I'm harmless, honest!

Figured I'd join in and drop my life story...lol.

I'm a film major attempting to get through college. I love film and television and have for as long as I can remember. I worked at a drug store for nearly 5 years and after being promoted to Assistant Manager (my last 6 months with the company) I got fed up with my jerk of a boss. I put in applications at every video store and movei theater in town hoping to get into a job doing something I actually liked. I got a call back for an interview and in less then 48 hours from that point I was quitting my job. I went in handed him my keys told him what I thought about him and walked out. I wish I had taken a camera with me because the look on his face was priceless. I started my new job that next week and absolutely love it. I heard so many things about the company I work for but as an employee they treat you incredible well.

If I can every get my butt in gear and get through college (I only have a year left...hopefully) I hope to move to California or Canada (I live in North Carolina not the ideal place for filmmaking). I love to write, edit, direct, this list could go on for a while so I'll summarize it by saying that I love everything to do with film and television making. It's my ultimate goal to have my own production company one day but till then I just hope to get the chance to do some TV and movie writing and get into directing. All of this pending me actually graduating from college .

My love of film making is what ultimately made me keep persuing the idea of LVI. The idea just wouldn't leave me alone and here we are. Do you guys believe it's only been 4 months?! It seems like so much longer since this site began.

Well that's my story.

We should so start our own production company LVI films: WE'LL tell you what the letters stand for, if YOU promise not to sue!
We've got like, what 3-4 people in film already? not to mention plenty of writers, and probably a few good other things needed as well... that's more than enough! All in favor!?

Hey, I'm always for something like this. Anyone that spills what LVI stands for to the general public gets fed to the island monster .

I'll second your motion.

hmm...I have three dream locations for my production company: Hawaii (this came about LONG before Lost ever hit the airwaves or was even a glimmer in JJ's eyes...lol), California, or Vancouver BC . Alaska is just to cold for my liking. I know Vancouver isn't all that warm itself but not even they reach the extreme of Alaska.
