The revenge of Ethan?
I can't watch the clip because I'm on dial up, and you guys know how I feel about Charlie. Just remember all the misdirection that you get with the previews before you freak out. (Again, I haven't seen it.)
I personally loved Eko - he was one of my favorite characters. But I'm still watching.

I guess it could be anything... I think that Desmond saw Charlie, Claire and Aaron dying with the lightning and then he saw Charlie dying again, tried to do something about it and saw Charlie dying again. It might explain why he says "No Mather what I do". Meaning no mather what Desmond will try to do to prevent it, Charlie's doomed.
Here's what was said in the clip:

Hurley slaps Charlie.
Charlie: Oww what did you do that for?
Hurley: Snap out of it! I've got an idea that will help us both.
Hurley picks Charlie up.
Hurley: Now, it is dangerous and there's a very good chance that you will die.
Charlie: Is that supposed to convince me to come with you?
Hurley: It is, because if you don't die, then we win.
Hurley might be referring to his own bad luck with the numbers, where everybody around him dies. Maybe if they do something to break the curse - Hurley's bad luck with the numbers will end and Charlie death threats will end also. _________________
I'll be so sad if Charlie dies. And I bet that in this episode, he will act really well and I will like his character even more, THEN will he die. It happens ALL the time - apart from Eko. I never really liked him.
But someone told me on another forum:
MAJOR SPOILER:
Spoiler:
That they read a spoiler that said Charlie does die

I thought Dom had a "No death" clause in his contract ?
I think one of the creator said when Lost started in 2004: "As long as Dom gets out of his trailer, he's got a job" - probably because Charlie's character was really popular back then and maybe because of all the LotR fans that started watching Lost because he was in it... But now that the shows got a solid fanbase and Charlie's character isn't that much liked anymore, I'm afraid this statement isn't valid anymore.

Well...i really don't think that Charlie will die...it's too early and there's ssomething going on between him and Claire so there's no logic in killing him character. _________________ It’s been a long year

It makes sense and I hope you're right!!

They don't do enough with Charlie at the moment, he's been totally sidelined
ITA. Charlie was a major player in season one but was practically absent from season 2. Season 2 has been pretty much the Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Locke show. Season 3 so far has been the Others/Triangle show.... Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy these characters, it's just not why I'm so invested in the show - you know, making videos, graphics, participating in online discussions, etc. I hope Charlie and other characters that have been neglected in season 2 like Sayid and Claire will become more involved in the storyline.
I'd rather have Charlie dying in season 3 while having a good storyline than surviving and being sidelined again. Maybe that's why I'm not too upset about these death rumors - it may mean that my favorite character will get some attention. _________________

Quite. The thing I loved was that there were so many different interesting characters to use and explore, and now they're just focussing on a few. Sayid, Charlie and Hurley have been totally ignored, Sun and Jin aren't doing anything, Claire's always in the background. And then we get useless nobodies going on important expeditions. Lost really needs to look at itself and return to first season style use of character I think. I like Jack, Kate and Sawyer, they're cool characters (Jack's my favorite in Lost overall), but not all the time.
Season 3 has been well done, loved the last ep, but only on those characters. The rest of it bar Sun capping that bitty has been average. Lost is in danger of Jumping the Shark, and it'll be a big disappointment if it stumbles this soon _________________

...but Shannon and Sayid were just getting into a serious relationship and then SHE was killed off...just keep that in mind
Honestly, I'm going to be really disappointed in the show if Charlie dies, because that'll be just another "shocker" that isn't really a shocker, and you can only kill off so many main characters before the fandom starts to fall. Noj, I think you're right...Lost is nearing the Jump the Shark stage _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me
