Does anybody have one of these or plan on getting one? I've never owned a portable mp3 player (never felt i really needed one) but i tried one of these things out and i think i'm gonna have to buy one now whether i really need it or not... _________________

I have iPod Photo and I still think it's better than iPod Nano despite the size, well iPod is really not that big anyway, besides Nano only has like what 4 GB? _________________

Yeah, it is pretty cool. Almost everyone I know has one, but I've never bothered... I don't have enough songs to fill the space anyway... though I could definitely get used to finding some But overall you've gotta ask yourself: is it worth sacraficing a Nintendo Revolution, PS3, or Xbox 360? |

true it doesn't have as much storage, but it's flash based instead of HDD so it's really light and has no moving parts. plus, it's so... small.
Pics on the net can't do it justice - it was seeing in in person that really sold me on it. it's amazing.
yeah - probably not worth sacrificing a ps3 or revolution - but xbox 360? sure! _________________

With you on that one! Just stuck it in for the ol' sentimental triforce of power thing...
Errr.... back to the iPod
It's 2 GB of space on this actually... well about 1.8 because of all the games, calendars, and features Still, 2GB would be more than enough for me at least How much is enough in music anyway? |

My ipod photo has 40 GB and I'd say it's pretty small, well it's smaller than other portable mp3 player. No moving parts? well I guess it's the same. _________________

Actually, I'm going for the 4GB. It runs $250, only $50 more than the 2GB. ...if you can find it that is. Every store in my area has them backordered. ...so it looks like I have some time to think over the purchase. _________________

you know that really little pocket inside the right pocket of your jeans? nano fits in there. seriously. its small.
btw, and all ipods except the nano and shuffle store songs on a little hard drive. so it has a little hard drive arm moving over little hard disk platters. moving parts you see - whereas the nano and shuffle use flash memory similar to usb memory sticks. not than hard drive based ipods are bad or anything, but flash based are lighter and more resilient, which could come in handy if it ever takes a bad fall. no, i don't plan on dropping it.
but take a look what these guys did to the poor thing:

Black!
..and since they seem to collect fingerprints easily (the ones I saw did anyway) the black one should look really cool in the clear or green 'nano Tube'. Hopefully my local apple store will get the Tubes when they get their next shippment of nanos. _________________

Awww, none of the classic white? The black just reminds me all too much of the less-hardy electronics [shiver] stop screaming poor playstation! [/shiver].
Though there is the PSP... that's black!
