I can't speak for the other mods, but I'm actually not a big fan of banning.

Shit for the site or not, banning is probably taking this too far. Eviltoast can do whatever he/she pleases, as long as it's not harmful, but if he/she wants to advertise, then I think Toasty might realize that we're not gonna let in to it unless we have a good reason to, such as if the person made a video, or at least chatted here besides just some shameless self-promotion.

However, since this one is actually a little bit of a nicer thing to do, donating the money to charity, I don't mind it much anyway.

Advertising on forums isn't going to do anything, especially if we all know it's shameless self-promotion...

Besides, if we go banning people, we'll soon-enough turn into Lost-TV

a dreaded sound indeed. It hurts more than it helps, the lack of advertising allowance. If we ddn't allow it, then some good sites like Lost-Hatch, Sledgeweb's site, and a number of others like the Channel 4 site wouldn't really get their hear...

And the eBay thing's kinda funny.... the first time.

Sorry everyone for not contributing to your site, other than my "advertising." I'm not exactly selling something for personal gain or profit. It's for the American Red Cross, 100% of it. I have a lot of time into this, not too mention money that I don't have. I thought it would be nice to do what I could to help the hurricane victims. You don't have to like me or my toast for that matter, I was just trying to help a little. It's at $100 right now and feel pretty good about that. And for those of you who might have gotten a little chuckle out of it, or would like to help the auction, click "watch this item." That helps out A LOT!

The first time I had it up, I did it to have fun with it, not to make a dime. I'm a huge LOST fan and I thought other LOST fans would get a kick out of it. It had almost 80,000 hits and was the #1 watched item on all of Ebay, so I know a few people found it humorous. Did I think I was going to collect on the $1,000,000 bid? Absolutely not, but it was funny. That fake bid gave me the opportunity to relist it for free. I wasn't planning on it, but then I had the idea to donate the money. I'm not trying to step on any toes here or offend any members, just trying to get the word out.

I really am a huge fan though and I look forward to participating on this forum in the future.
