Agreed.
If you look at the end of the credits for the first movie, you can see the monkey steal a coin from the chest, so he still has the curse now. I'm still wondering how Barbosa came back to life though...if those were his boots shown early on in the film, and the monkey brought him back to life, how come now he's mortal? 
As for the sea monster thing, I don't really know...

Really, I wasn't aware of that. Is it after the credits or before the credits?
As for the other: Barbossa - Once a character has been undead, I don't suppose I can squabble with them coming back to life can I? Haha. Maybe he didn't die? I am a little shaky on the details of his death, though I think I remember Jack shot him. But it's not like we saw him buried. (Did we? Haha.)
How come those quotes aren't spoilerfonted? |

And Barbosa definetly died. We saw him shot, we saw the blood appear around his heart, and we saw him fall to the ground...I'm pretty damn sure he died...I guess ya never know though.
