I saw the Wicker Man on Tuesday-- That movie takes the bad movie cake. The acting was awful and half the dialogue made no sense at all. You spend the whole movie either laughing or making a "wtf?" face. Swing and a miss for Nicholas Cage. God... terrible. |

@WikerMan - yikes. i avoid nick cage's "good" movies, i can't imaging watching him in a bad one!
@Lady in the Water - To go against the grain here, I actually like M Night as a director. Unbreakable is my favorite superhero movie ever. Sixth Sense was interesting, Signs was very entertaining on the first viewing, and the Village was pretty good even if the ending was predictable. HOWEVER i will make no excuses for Lady in the Water. That film was a prank that wasn't even funny. I like plenty of films that break conventions, but they do so to serve the film, not out of arrogance or spite. The thing that bugs me is i KNOW he's a better filmmaker than that. At the end I thought M Night himself was gonna pop out from behind the curtains and laugh at all of us for watching that nonsense. _________________

You rule E. Just to clarify I am not saying anything against his other movies, as I haven't even seen any of them fully really (I definitely have to at least check out The Sixth Sense lol). This movie was just like a joke without a punchline. It falls flat, and then the person who told it laughs at you for expecting a good joke. |

First, I'm a huge movie buff so it's rare that a movie makes me want to just stop watching. But these three which were actual theatrical releases found a way to make me want to cry for them to end:
"House of the Dead" - When the plot description includes "zombies ravage a techno rave on an island", it can't be a good sign. Incorporating video game clips is just horrible, and they do it a lot in a huge "fight sequence". Looks like it was shot in a basement...literally. Only plus was the asian girl in an american flag outfit doing martial arts on the zombies, haha priceless. Oh lord what have we come to?
"Bewitched" - The only movie that ever made me squirm in my seat at a movie theatre cause I was so bored. I almost left the darn theatre and I never do that! It was just...horrible.
"Open Water" - Looks like a bad porn film or something. I was so bored and couldn't believe that I was wasting life watching water on tv (seriously there were clips that were just of water in different areas). That's an hour and twenty some minutes of my life that I will never get back. _________________

Totally agree to that! It was such a crap movie... I can't believe they made a sequel!
I was about to get up and leave the movie theatre... it was dead boring and I was absolutely annoyed. _________________

Have to disagree with Distress Signal on Starship Troopers. It was a lot of fun with great effects and although it was not of the same caliber as the galaxy far far away... films it was meant to be tongue in cheek with the corny music and the advertisements to "Join up, Fight and become a citizen. Want to learn more?"
One of the worst films ever was the sequel Hero of the Federation: Starship Troopers 2. The effects were very bad, the storyline was weak, the actors were fair and the gratuitous nudity made me think the producers watched the original draft and said this is really a POS. Hey you over there, you have to strip off all your clothes or we aren't even going to be able to get rental royalties. _________________

I have a new one: Alone in the Dark, with Tara Reid & Christian Slater. I pretty much spent that hou and a half yelling "Stephen Dorff, WHY ARE YOU IN THIS????". _________________

Yeah its this weird "avatar maker", and then I used a screen capture to capture my little creations there. I have everybody, even peripheral characters like Susan, Kates mom, Helen, and of course, the LOSTIES that have since departed. _________________
