Just checking....Would Disturbia (the film) be acceptable to use for this comp?
And just so I understand fully, does it have to be set out like Sophie's example? Not a music video? |

Belle - because we're asking for videos; not trailers  Plus last year for Halloween we did a horror movie trailer contest
No Jemmz it doesn't have to be set out exactly like Sophies or Ali's on the first post They're just examples of the kinda horror we mean

OMG this is so much fun! I've never started a contest vid so early! I'm already choosing the scenes... can't decide for a song and i have to think which characters to include tho.  this is great!

Ooooh, this sounds fun! Hmmm.... I'm thinking of doing the movie Shutter, cuz I've kinda been wanting to do a crossover for awhile... Or else My Bloody Valentine, because that's just an awesome movie.  I'm excited! *goes off to think of the possibilities*

All right, sorry if this has been answered, I just want to clarify - Do we have to use footage from the movie we're using, or can we just, like, remake the plot of the movie using Lost footage?  Cuz right now that's what I'm thinking of doing.

We had a closer look at "Disturbia," hon, and that's really more of a thriller like "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle" so we'd prefer something a little more straight-up horror. (That's a great film, though; I remember watching the end of it peeking through my fingers all "meep!"   )

Being that so many horror movies are bloody, then yes, blood would be allowed. But (and this is me answering as just myself, not as a CM ), I'm hoping you don't mean just outright torture porn gore. *crosses fingers*

We're asking for crossovers so, yep, we want footage of the horror movie in there as well. Though I bet your "remake" idea is also very cool!  Maybe you'll have time to do both a crossover contest vid and your remake idea before Halloween? That would be awesome! |

Well. I'm crossoverin( what a word haha) a zombie movie. and these zombies have blood all over them the whole time. :/ and there is one scene where some of them are ripped apart and there is a little bit of blood. :/ the rest is storyline tho! and that scene is necessary so if it's possible i'd like to use it!

Sure, that'll be fine. We're not requiring you all to clear your scenes with us -- if it's in a horror movie, it's fair game -- that was more just me...hoping. I'm not a fan of movies where the emphasis is on really nauseating gore, not just bloody or bloody things happening (like a zombie attack ) but where it's all about really graphic, gory, gruesome things. *hides* Like I said, though, it's not prohibited in the contest, I was just hoping just for me that that wasn't what you meant, lol! |
