I have maaaaaad envy for anybody who can get the 350MB AVI eps to work in Vegas... Aislynn, green with envy *squishes you*

The photo album style was incredible, and the song and diff clips on each side, just worked soooo well. I LOVE it! In my faves on YouTub, and I may have todownlaod this one. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
Awwww, thanks so much! This was one of the hardest vids I've ever tried to do because of having to juggle all of those timelines! I really appreciate the kind words (the "most awesomest" in particular! )!
SassyLostie2 wrote: | How did you get the photo-album thingie btw? Is it a movie studios thing, or can I use SV 7.0 for something like that as well? Or is it completely different? Like a pic you use continuously like a watermark and jsut placed the clips inside? |
Yep, you got it, the photo album page was just a still picture that was stretched over the entire timeline (except for when the pages turned and I had to render all of the timelines together to get it to turn the pages with the footage inside of the frames rather than all of them turning at different times! ). I made the photo album page in Paintshop and made the inside of the picture frames (where I wanted the vid footage to show) completely blue. Then I used Vegas' chroma keyer to see "through" the blue to the timelines below. Then I had to cookie cutter through the top timeline (which happened to be Sawyer's ) so that we could see Kate's in the other window. Then it was all about resizing things with the pan/crop tool and timing things out.
It took 4 timelines in all to make it, the photo album mask and Sawyer and Kate's timelines all running continually from start to finish, then a fourth one where I put the rendered pieces for the page turning effect as well as to make corrections. (I actually incorporated my watermark into the photo album page itself because I wanted it to turn with each page AND because Vegas Movie Studio only allows a maximum number of 4 video timelines! There wasn't room for a watermark timeline as well, lol!
Hope that answered your questions without boring you out of your head!
Thanks again! I'm so glad you liked it! ![](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) |

Nah, it didn't bore me too much. jk It was helpful, tho I don't think my compy could handle all that. I've done four timelines and it's sooo slow sometimes. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________

how has it taken me so long to watch this Ais! ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)
first off, its an awesome idea that i hope you do again (hint charlie/claire ) but i just adored it!! the white flashes on the beat were so cool and i love how you made skate scenes of your own like kate watching sawyer on the top of the cliff and him watching her bathe in the ocean. And you did it with only one kiss. my fave part would have to be the hug and seeing from both their POV's at the same time that and the kiss at the end; thats my fave skate kiss
excellent work; need i tell you more?
EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention that i now love this song perfect choice, im downloading it now ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________

Congratulations on winning Best Skate and 3rd place in the tournament!
You totally deserve all the praise.
This is one of my all time favourite vids and I hope you make another great Skate vid like this someday... ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________

littleton_pace: ZOMG, Kat, I'm so sorry I never saw this! Thank you so much for the awesome comment! *hugs!* You know, it's funny you mentioned doing this style for Charlie and Claire because I actually have considered that, lol! Don't know that it would happen until I find the exact right song, etc. but I guess you never know! Thanks again and so sorry that I missed this the first time!
Jemmz: Thanks so much, hon! Yes, this was the hardest vid I think I've tried to do, so far! It took 3 months and I thought I was going to make myself completely nutters (more than my usual "mostly nutters" that is! ) by the end of it! Thanks again and so glad you enjoyed! *hugs!*
Joon: Aw, thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I'm so glad that you've enjoyed it! I'm sure I'll try another Skate vid again one day (despite everything, I'm still a hard-core, die-hard Skater! ) but I hope it won't be quite this challenging, lol! Thanks again!
nikkimonique: Aw, thank you! I was hoping to do something that was a little different than I tried before (didn't know it would just about kill me, lol! ) but I'm glad that I tried it! Thanks so much for the kind words!
CharCassie24: Thank you so much! I appreciate you giving this a watching and I'm so glad you enjoyed despite its "un-Jateness" (word of the day? ). Thanks also for taking time to comment! ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
