After it converts, I don't see the download anywhere and my browser just closes! is there suppose to be a link somewhere for the DL?

How do you convert it from avi to wmv???

Can't you just put the avi into WMM and then save it as WMV? That's what i'd do.

Thats weird.. all my Lost episodes are Avi. and they go into WMM

I just put them into WMM and convert them that way, but if the files aren't opening correctly for you, or, as they sometimes do for me...they stuff up project files and won't let you re-open your work, let me know. I have a video file converter as well and I can convert it for you that way, if you like...but as I said, it messes with the audio quality, so I wouldn't recommend doing this if you're wanting to use an audio part of the clip in your project.

I've downloaded the clip but it won't open on WMP or WMM, so I downloaded that file converting thing you recommended but I don't know how you convert the files using that, could anyone help?

theres a way you can covert it using wmm import your file into WMM then selet all the clips and press ctrl+M which put them all together and then put it into your timetable and then save as WMV

Thanks for the help but the thing is when I do import video, then I import the one that isn't the right format, it doesn't let me import it at all. But it doesn't matter because I've worked out how the use this file converter

The only problem now is it works, but when I play it back in WMP it only comes up with sound but no picture, anyone no why?
