I am messing around with CyberLink (thanks for the link, Ruth!), but it's a bit weird. It tries to make the video for me. How do I edit it myself?

I choose the song and select all the episodes, then it analyses the episodes, which takes so long, I clicked Canceled. To me, it just seemed like it was going to edit and make the video for me. Kind of like AutoMovie with WMM. Do I have to wait for it to analys all the episodes before I start making the vids?

No, I dont think so- before you import ANYTHING, go through your properties and settings to make sure you dont have scene finder or anything activated,

I'm actually surprised that the torrent sites haven't been taken down yet, considering all the fuss everyone makes about illegal downloading

From my understanding the loophole is technically they aren't doing anything wrong, as they are merely indexing the torrents on their site, and they have no autority on whether the files are illegal or not, just like Google indexes websites, and it has no authority on whether the sites are legal or not. All the files are hosted elsewhere. The individual hosters from little sites get taken down, but the main index doesn't.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's unconstitutional to take them down actually...

LVI is the same way not a single video hosted on the site anymore, all just indexed from Putfile and other hosters for safety of the site.

I use Adobe Premiere Elements, it is around $50.00-$100.00. It could be cheaper, esp. if you buy the old verison.

Adobe Premiere? For vidding? Really? Does it have any special effects?

It has some special effects, basically more then WMM but less then a Really good editor. *NOTE Below*
I highly recommend it, especially if you are not a professional video editor. I know everyone would love to own Vegas, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro (for all you Mac users), but the truth is those programs are very expensive.

The reason I like it is because it allows you to adjust the sound on clips and author DVD menus.

If you want to try it out here is a download http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=101&platform=Windows

BTW. You can usally get it bundled with Photoshop elements (a watered down verison of Photoshop)

From PC WORLD Magazine http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,118574,00.asp
About Premire Elements

It can accommodate up to 99 video and audio tracks in the same project file.
Premiere Elements ships with more than 300 video and audio effects and transitions, and many give you an incredible range of adjustability. Many are keyframeable, too: You can set the specific video frame where an effect begins to work and another frame where it stops working, and you can specify the level of effect for every frame in between, if you like.

Anyone gonna eventually make a guide on all these different editors, just outlining them btw? That would be really cool! I haven't tried any but Premiere, Vegas, and WMM though.
