LVI got hacked today. Another one of those robot-hacks that targets thousands of sites at a time, and happened to prey upon ours. I just cleaned up the mess, but there may be some remnants I didn't see. If you've been on LVI today, I would suggest you think about doing a quick virus scan just to be careful, especially if you don't have a very good antivirus program.
Just thought I'd let you guys know, in case you happened to come upon LVI today and freaked out (or your computer did!) lol
EDIT: I just scanned my hard drive after messing around with the code and intentionally downloading the virus and found nothing. So I wouldn't worry too much!

Thanks for cleaning it up...I figured that is what happened when I couldn't log in. _________________

Gah, I HATE HACKERS SPAM BOT THINGIES! *has extreme anger*
Thanks for cleaning up the mess, Warren!
If you did come onto LVI during the time when that weird header code was showing, I second the idea of running a virus/malware scan, just to be on the safe side. You never know when something might be tweaked to where it would blow up your computer, even if it doesn't hurt anybody else's!
So sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully this was the last we'll see of the hacker spam bot thingies. *fingers crossed*
*wishes bad things on all hacker spam bot thingies*

Good, it's gone. Every time I came on here for the last day and a half, my virus scanner automatically picked up a trojan and I had to clean it. No biggie...but it was kinda freaky! _________________

Oh GRRRR!!!
Any time you see that code, go off of LVI rather than risk getting infected with something. We'll get it cleared up as soon as possible!
*sigh* I hate hackers. |

Yay, glad you fixed it! I had the normal warning come up, I just clicked "Heal" but what I don't get is that the web page (which had LVI loaded up) then took me to Adobe Reader O_O And the title that came up at the top had "get file" in it O_O!! Computer froze before anything else happened though. Restarted and did a virus scan but nothing out of the ordinary came up So I think all is fine. That was weird though. Damn hackers! |

Just so you know, I was on the main page to watch the videos I hadn't seen yet and I clicked "see more" and it took me to that "get file" document on adobe reader again. The hacker? I'm too scared to go back now, lol. Just letting you know! |

Hmmm, I'm not seeing anything odd happening with that link, Jemma. You might try clearing your cache in case Adobe had some leftover file in there and I'll check into it more and see if there's anything I can find out! |

Do you guys know what the virus was that was coming through the site? My computer has picked up on some Trojan.Vundo virus, and though I dropped $50 bucks to update my anti-virus software and have run numerous adware & virus scans, it still seems to be on my computer.
Any advice on how to get rid of it? It seems to be an ad/internet thing because whenever I'm in Firefox, i keep getting annoying pop-up ads even though my pop-up blocker is off. And it automatically opens Internet Explorer when I'm not even in IE.... _________________
