What Hobbes was saying (I think what you're referring to) is that they writers of the show have basically been told to by the NETWORK (ABC) that they have to drag the story out as much as possible.

I still say it's one of the better shows on TV these days and I am not going to quit watching it (after February sweeps I say!) any time soon. But the fact of the matter is that the storyline IS suffering because the writers are being MICROMANAGED by TPTB (the powers the be) in order to capitalize on the show's success. It's just a fact. We heard it out of one of the writer's mouths.

Anyway, I hope that explains things.

They revisted charlie's drug storyline because they have to draw stuff out. Maybe charlie has more important things to do plot-wise, but they are unable to tell that part of the story yet because they aren't ALLOWED to progress.

It sucks, but it's what happens. Networks have so much more control over shows than they really should be allowed to. It completely compromises the artistic process.

LOL - I wasn't serious about you guys not caring. I was just rambling and I even annoy myself when I ramble-lol. You guys are too cool over here. I love all you guys!

But I do think you're right tho about the show. I hope February sweeps can kick it into action. Lately all I've been doing is watching the show for Josh Holloway where before I watched for the storyline. But you're right, they may have been using Fire and Water as a set up for future eps. It's hard to say...tho I shouldn't let a couple of dull eps turn me off. I do love the show...I wouldnt vid and make graphics if I didn't.

Ya know what, KC, you instilled my faith in the show again-lol. You are my hero-lol

You guys are too funny...

I was actually thinking (while I was trying to go to sleep) that we are up to episode 13 of the seaso already...13!! Thats basically over half-over- and the only thing to happen has been...oh yeah, the tailies joined our group. And thats about it.

Think of last season episode 13- they were already up and into Hatch territory. That was Boone's episode. This season- uh, like nothing. How boring.

But you are right Rocksiren, it has been dragging. And we only got a few new people from the tailsection.

Okay people- button missing time next week! WHOO HOO! Its going to be hilarious. I said it once and Ill say it again- if the fate of the world depends on the stability of an 84 Mac, I think were all in trouble.

See, this is what I enjoy- people who can step back and say "even though I LOVE the show- I think the writers/actors/insert name here is/are acting like a bunch of banana-heads." Just because we love the show shouldnt mean that we cant have our beefs with the show.

I LOVE LOST and I always will, but its not really going anywhere. I mean last night, um okay, Sawyer has the guns now. Big whoop. And my sister (who has NOT seen Season 1) was like "I'd give that Korean guy a gun"- I love Jin, but I AM SORRY- I would not give him a gun! He has a HORRIBLE temper- does no one else remember that he wouldve KILLED Michael for the watch had Sayid and Sawyer not intervened.

And like FAN4LOST said before, its still not telling us anything. Oh yeah- Sawyer hating himself and wanting everyone else to hate him, and also the fact that he was/is a con man- how is that new? The sad part is I think Sawyer actually has more control over his temper than some of the other people. I mean hes never intentionally HURT anybody on the island (except the marshall, and that was not out of anger/spite).
