FAKE!!! They're not good enough to be fake!! Don't you dare say they're fake!! They may overhighlight the little pathetic things that had nothing to do with the show, but they don't SECRETLY hire freaking actors or something. That'd just be plain stupid, they have enough strange people from the general public to use for free anyway...
Mostly, I love them because it's like as close as we get to familly time at my house LOL We bet on the contestants too, it's awesome  |

They secretly hire stupid actors, then they tell them to be stupid just so people will watch. The funny parts are in there because they told them to do that funny thing just so people think it is REAL. Its all staged and FAKE! but that is just my opinion hobbes so please don't delete my posts hobbes

but seriously, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Would you like me to explain why, or would you like to admit you're only saying it to piss me off!
Opinions are fickle things. They relate to what a person likes or doesn't like, or things that are debatable to be true or untrue, such as the existance of God, or the existance of aliens... but they can, in that situation, and should, always be able to be swayed by logic, evidence, and reasoning, or else we'd be living in a world where lies and myths are regarded as truths

OK, i made that part about my opinion up, its true in MANY shows. Maybe survior has less of this, but one good example is the simple life. They tell them to do stupid things and tell them to get into trouble and so on. Its not like they go around causing trouble all day, they do it for the show and the show does it for the ratings. People like trouble.

well duh with simple life. It's not advertised as a reality show I hope? God I hate those two, pure evil if it IS all reality stuff, seriously. Ever seen that episode of South Park? Stupid spoiled whores? HILARIOUS
And yeah, they have a reason to do it of course, they get PAID to do it LOL it's their showm, or at least partly-theirs. They get a cut in the ratings income I guess. Plus it gets them the fame they don't really have otherwise.
My mom and sister like that show, I hate it >.< |

| I still watch the MTV originals Real World and Road Rules, though I do agree that the quality has gone seriously down in the years. What I love is the Real World/Road Rules challanges. Dude - they are so frickin' drama-riffic! LOVE IT! |

Okay, barfola on reality tv, I just never had the stomach for it. And the worst are Newlyweds and the Ashlee Simpson show... However, I can stand once in a blue moon to watch the Surreal Life. That's just too funny to ignore, I mean c'mon! Chyna (formerly of WWE) and Mini-me in the same house.

| Yeah, I really really really dislike MOST reality TV. But I was practically RAISED on the original MTV shows. I can't betray my roots. That's the only reality tv I watch. I don't even think that when that came out the term "reality tv" was even in the american lexicon. |
