Unfortunately, there were a number of cheating incidents due to vulnerabilities in the IP checking system, so we've decided that the fairest thing to do would be to strengthen the protection and restart the Open Polls.
So all previous votes have been cleared and you'll need to do your voting again. We're very sorry for the inconvenience but at least now we can be assured of a fair result. The Open Polls will still close at the same time as the LVI Tournament: Dec 13th
As a reminder of the Open Poll rules:
Quote: | When you cast your vote - and we hope that you do - please make sure to watch ALL the vids in that category before voting (even if you have seen them a while ago) to make sure that we pick the best vid this site has to offer for each category! |
If you discover any oddities with the voting system or have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us. We want a fair and fun contest for everyone! Thanks!

There were a couple times when I went to vote and it told me that I'd already voted. So did that count my vote a SECOND time? Or change my vote? Or what? Obviously I'll try to remember what I've voted in and what I haven't voted in from now on. But is there any way to stop this from happening? |

Did this happen since the votes were reset earlier today or was this from before? And no, my understanding is that if it tells you that you've already voted, then it doesn't count that as a second vote, but I'll have to ask Warren about that to be sure. |

It was before they were reset. |

Phew! Yeah, if it was before they were reset then no worries. Let me know if it happens again now that voting has been reopened though. If we're lucky, it's just thinking your pressed the button twice and interpreted that as a double vote (and stopped the second one). If we're not so lucky, then it's not recognizing your user id correctly . If so, then my immediate recommendation is to try logging out then logging back in again, in which case it could/should solve it. |
