Hey all
I just downloaded Gimp and I'm having issues with it. Major issues. I cant seem to figure it out. I found a couple of tutorials that are useless to me. Does anyone have it or at least know how to use it? I don't want to do anything fancy, just fan art, banners and avatars, etc

Pick your poison. If any of those work, there you go. Most of the menus should be similar-ish to Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, anyway.

Assuming you have a Windows machine: Link.
You want 3 things off that page, installed in this order:
- GTK Runtime, if you don't have it already (you probably don't)
- GIMP for Windows: Stable version
- Helpfiles
As I told Kat over IM, the learning curve is slightly steep, but don't be afraid of it and you'll at least be able to do a few simple things before the day is out. If you've worked with Photoshop or Paintshop Pro before, you'll find this fairly similar.
