I hate vegas. I had like 10 different fonts done in diff sizes/colors and all that through out my video and then randomly all my text went to the stupid ugly sample text. I tried undoing but there was nothing to do undo since vegas just randomly did that. I noticed it happen one other time just with one font so it was no problem but now its effecting all my fonts so is there anything i can do to get the fonts i originally did back? and stop this from happening again? |

That bites Saben!!
I'm not sure if there's a way you can fix it but you might be able to prevent it next time. When you insert text slides, are you inserting new ones or copying the ones you already have? If you copy them; then whatever you change on one slide will change them all so always create a new text slide when you want to add more text.
Also; something may have happened to the fonts on your comp. Check in Word or somewhere to see if the fonts you used are still there. becuse, by default, if something happens to a font you've used it goes back to its original font. _________________

No the fonts are still there when i check them, and yea I created seperate text slides. Vegas also now keeps saying its encountered an error when i exit it, and some of my clips turned red so it seems to be result of some bigger problem, but thanx for the response kat. |

my backup file? how do i get to that?
its weird cause it just happened all the sudden when it was working fine before. I dont know if its cause I have tons of video tracks for this project and lots of imported media, more than usual and very low RAM. |

It should be that little file underneath your project. Looks like this...
See how it says .veg.bak? The 'bak' means backup. So just edit that out, make sure you take out the fullstop as well and then it turns into your backup file but it can vary at the stage at which it backuped so you might still lose something. but its worth a try _________________

Thanks kat the other thing you mentioned actually ended up working It was all because I didnt have the upgrade. The text thing is like a problem in the original Vegas pro 9 that was one of the things resolved by the update |
