Ooh, me either. I haven't made PB&J or Shayid either... not my fave ships. Well, they're just not that interesting to me. So maybe I'd try one of those 3 (Shoone included, I mean).

I think she means, a character study type vid for a ship that you've never done that for before. Like I've made canon Skate vids, Jate vids etc. I've never vidded canon PB&J though I've hinted at it in ensemble vids.

Yeah. See I've just took it as someone you have vidded before at all, but that's just my opinion on it

The only thing about this idea is how can when deciding winners, can you say one person's vid was better than someone else's, when a lot of the vids are different. Like there could be PB&J vids, Shoone, DesPenny.

How can you say that a PB&J vid is better than a Shoone, there needs to be a defying like theme to the contest vid, as if it was a beat use boot camp comp, where you vidded a couple you haven't before, but the main basis of the vid we would be looking at is the beat use. It would make it kinda hard to judge

Yeah, just like Charlee said, that "condition" inside of each contest is what makes it possible to judge it.

This is an awesome idea (and I'm sure we'll try to utilize it if we possibly can

) but as it is just straight up, it's based on an individual vidder challenging themselves to something they haven't done before. So how do you determine who did the best job of doing something they haven't done before?

We need something definite that each vid is trying to do to more fairly judge them, like if it were a beat use contest with this as a condition, as was mentioned.

Then it's more than a matter of trying to say which vid is "better;" it's which vid did better at [whatever the condition is].

That's what gives each contest an individual theme and what sorts out which vid did the best job at doing that theme.

It really is a great idea, though, and something that every vidder should try to do!

What about a beat use contest then - but where you have to use a couple you haven't vidded before. It would solve the problem if we mixed the two contest ideas together right?
