Lost Video Island

This is just a suggestion, not at all mandatory, I promise.

Just because a song is "new" and/or burning up the charts, doesnt mean a LOST video will necessarily be good accompanied with it. Pick your songs wisely.

Yep...that's sooo true...i can't imagine a lost video with "Smack that" or one of Paris Hilton's awful songs....
btw i don't like commercial songs...(i listen that kind of songs only when i'm in the disko)

yeah i get what you mean, i think if a video was done to that paris hilton song 'stars are blind' i'd puke it wouldn't be the video it would be the song i can't stand it, i've come to think old songs can work really well with videos

The thing is, everything in the UK charts atm is bloody 'pop' or 'wanna be rock'. Does mi' nut!

Definetly true. I never do a vid because the song sounds awesome. You've gotta listen to the lyrics, and even if you can pull off some random pop song while matching the lyrics the whole way, it still usually ends up looking kind of...messy.

You know, some of those pop songs actually turn out really well. Like a lot of the Nsync stuff on the site that I've seen. I DO NOT like them at all and I would never envision a lost song TO an Nsync song or anything poppy like that. But I've seen SEVERAL that have turned out really well. It all depends on who is vidding and whether or not they dedicate themselves to making it something MORE than just another montage of the same old clips.

I think that almost EVERY song could be used for a Lost video. I've seen some of the most amazing creative stuff here at this site and I wouldn't put anything past these vidders. They've done things with clips and songs that I would have NEVER imagined possible otherwise.

That being said, choose wisely as Rocksiren said. But if you have a GREAT IDEA that you just have to scratch, then DO IT. It might just surpass all expecation.
