Interesting.

That would suck so badly if it was true though.

I believe this theory has been debunked.

It's not purgatory
It's not in someone else's mind
It's not a game

Could be wrong, but the powers that be have specifically said that this is all happening for real.

And I agree in the respect that if this theory turned out to be true......The creators' houses would get TPed and egged.

There's no way that's true. Anybody can think up that kind of thing - "Lost is a video game like the Sims, which explains absolutely everything going on since video games don't have to be realistic." It's definetly really happening to real people, I'm sure of that, and there will be answers to everything except maybe what the numbers mean.

I don't think he's questioning whether it's happening to real people just that it's some big orchestrated game they're playing. Though they're not aware they're playing it? Is that what I gathered from that?

Not all that different from a psychological experiment gone awry! Hahaha.

sooo... the "Saw Theory"? Maybe he was inspired by Benry in the movie

Pretty lame way to waste all that money getting a gigantic topical paradise island for it though. (but then again, so is doing it for "Psychological experiments". Those things are freaking useless with this many variables.)

I didn't bother reading anythign this guy said, but if he said anything about it all being a game of the Sims or anything, then he's an idiot and the writers, while tricksy little buggers, aren't giving in to something as easy as that.

afterall they just conducted The LOST Experience which was nothing more than a huge scavenger hunt- a game!

I think the creators/producers have a more 'OMFG' conclusion than that though. I used to beleive in the Purgatory theory, where the losties were all in prugatory. That made a bit more sence than the game did, but was blown away by the season 2 finale (they could have been found by someone in outside world - sorta)

Yeah, the thing is all of these purgatory/game/whatever things are exactly the same - their explanation for everythign is simply that it's all not real, so anythign goes. They basically lather over everything with one big paint brush and ignore everything else, because saying "none of it is real" covers everything . It's like saying "I'm gonna die someday, so everything I do is meaningless". Simply saying Lost is a game, dream, purgatory, or whatever is jsut the cowards way out, admitting that you don't know how to solve the mystery so you give up on it.
The writers know it, they know it's the easy, cheap way out, and so they know they probably wouldn't get away with it if they did it.

Exactly. I mean think of the shock moments they've given us. Like whats inside the hatch. Obviously we knew it would be a person inside, but a computer with a button that you have to press every 108 minutes or the world will end? Who could've predicted that? And Desmond not pushing the button was the reason the plane crashed? This things blow us away which is why we watch Lost. So thinking that it is a game or whatever just seems silly now, cos its really just common sence that the reason behind it all is going to be something huge.
