Click
You know you want to click.
Click it.
Check that picture out.
And then tell me that I'm still crazy for shipping Sawyer/Sun.
Mwahaha...I will get canon support!
...The producers are just trying to make up to me for killing off my Light Comma Sticks pairing, aren't they? _________________

There are, basically, three levels of fandom shipping:
Conventional/Canon shipping. Which, in the context of Lost, would be Jack/Kate, Sawyer/Kate, Charlie/Claire, etc. Any pairing that is canon or has enough subtext to be generally agreed-upon fanon.
Unconventional shipping. Any pairing that doesn't fit the conventional/canon guidelines but has enough subtext to make for a favorable argument. I'm not entirely sure whether Jack/Ana-Lucia would fit here...Michael/Sun does, though.
Crackshipping. A "crackship" is the fanon label for any pairing that makes no sense in the context of canon. Usually two characters who have very little interaction, but it can also refer to two characters who have never met (sometimes two characters from two different fandoms) or two characters who are generally agreed by the fandom to have no chemistry or subtext at all. Sawyer/Sun...Michael/Shannon...Desmond/Lucy...I could go on...
Does that help? Or am I way too wordy? _________________

Hey, searching "crackship" also leads you to Chica's "You Were Mine" vid! w00t! Chica's famous!!!!!!!
And I love those definitions! I "knew" what each of them meant but it would've been hard to really define them so clearly like that! Bravo! |

And they're in the rain together too! Now that definately makes them shippable. _________________
