Me again. 
What do you guys think about transitions between clips? Aside from my WMM days when I admit I tried some cheesy transitions like "shatter," I usually do either crossfade or fade in/out. My question--can you mix and match? I feel like some moments in my vid call for a fade in/out, whereas others call for a crossfade. Is it weird to mix them? Also, do fade ins get too jarring and ruin the flow of a vid? I definitely use them at "stopping" points in the vid, like a transition in the song or for emphasis. But during a montage of short clips or during a particular sequence, I use crossfades.
Just wondering what you guys think about transitions and which are better. I don't want my vids to look weird! Thanks!

In honor of it being 10 years since Lost's premiere I decided to put together a little survey incorporating Hurley's famous numbers.
1. What are your 4 favorite episodes?
2. Who are your top 8 characters?
3. What 15 moments defined Lost for you? (These are the moments that made you laugh, cry, left you in shock, etc.)
4. We all know why the opening scenes of the Pilot make a great scene so in 16 words pick a more obscure Lost scene and tell why it is the greatest moment on Lost ever. (I'm looking for scenes like Hurley and Charlie's golf dance. Or Kate and Sawyer playing in the waterfall. Something you might not expect to be a great Lost moment.)
5.If Lost returned today, where would the show pick up? In 23 words tell us where we find the show. Complete reboot- same story new people? Just where we left off, Hurley in charge and Ajira leaving? Years down the line? Etc
6.In 42 words tell about a character or storyline whose story you felt was left open or feeling incomplete (This includes characters who died earlier in the series.). In 42 words tell how you would resolve the storyline.
Note: I'm not actually going to do word counts on questions 4- 6...so just make it look like you wrote that many words. (Though I will be very impressed if you hit the word counts exactly.  )

I am totally overwhelmed by coloring! I've never really tried it before....I've done "effects," such as HSL Adjust or Glow, but I'm not sure if that's the same thing. I get the sense that coloring is a combination of effects.
What I don't get--do you create a "coloring" and then apply it to the entire vid (by doing a track effect?) Or each individual clip? If the entire track/vid, I get confused because in one vid, I have Jack and Juliet in the Dharma shark tank (very dark), but also them on the beach in sunlight (very bright). So how can one coloring or effect work for both?
I see posts about people saving colorings, and I am just clueless. I looked on YouTube and there are tutorials up there, but I tried a combination they did--of Color Curve, Color Corrector, Glow, etc. and used the same numbers they showed, but it looked terrible on my vid.
This is probably a really complicated question, I just would like to know a basic definition of coloring, how you apply it (whole track or clip by clip), and how you adjust it for different clips.

ETA: Here is a link of a tutorial I tried. It looks SO good in her vids, but I tried it in mine and first, it's impossible to copy the "Color curves" because I don't have exact numbers, just try to make my curves look like hers. And some effects, like sharpen, etc. make the dark clips in my vid look really weird. Ugh!
