You know how you can drag-select over part of your video track and it will only render that portion? Well, somehow my Vegas went wonky and now when I try to spot render, it still tries to render the whole project.
I'm looking everywhere but can't figure out what setting will fix it... anyone know?

Earlier this year I had to install Sony Vegas on a second computer because it just stopped working on my laptop.
My laptop is a Compaq and uses Windows XP.I'd been making videos on it since 2007.But earlier this year after finishing a video I went to render it and I kept getting an error message.( I can't think of exactly what it said but if it'd help I can try to render a video and get it to come up.)
I went on a mass cleaning mission and deleted almost every video clip,music clip and picture as well as anything else I could possibly get rid of.But that didn't help because I still can't render videos on it.
I thought maybe I'd run out of space on my hard drive or in the memory but that doesn't seem to be the case because earlier this week I installed a CD program that required 1 GB of hard drive space and I haven't had any messages about not having enough space for the program.
So does anyone know why Sony Vegas would just stop rendering videos?
Here's something I noticed between the program on my laptop and on the other computer.There is a little number at the bottom by the words 'Record Time (2 channels)'. On my laptop the number is around 32: ??: ??where as the one on my other computer currently reads 415:22:15. Is this number important ?

I'm working on my Series Recap video and I have a bunch of clips and audio pieces in my Project Media tab.I noticed today that in the Project Media tab there is a little lightning bolt symbol that says 'Remove All Unused Media from Project'.
Am I correct in assuming that if I click this it won't affect my video and it will only get rid of the stuff not being used on the Audio or Video tracks?
I didn't want to click on it until I knew for sure what would happen.I don't want to mess up the video I have in progress.

I don't know how many people know this already but a complete copy of the promised 12 minute Hurley/Ben epilogue "The New Man in Charge" from the season 6 boxset has been leaked online. Disney/abc deleted the full version off YT but it you can still find it on at least one major torrent site that I'm aware of if you're comfortable with that kind of thing.
